This book covers the syllabus of a high-school course in elementary number theory. It builds upon students’ knowledge of basic number properties and leads them to a greater understanding of real numbers, including exponential and radical expressions. Before beginning this book, students should have successfully completed a pre-algebra course in the basic principles of number sets, arithmetical operations, factorization, and exponential and radical notation. The book is divided into two chapters: number sets, the material of the previous chapter and exponential and radical expressions.
